What is the difference between solid timber and engineered timber doors?

Solid timber doors are made from single or multiple pieces of wood glued or jointed together, offering a traditional appearance and substantial feel but more susceptibility to movement with changes in humidity. Engineered timber doors use a stable core — often MDF or laminated timber — clad in a timber veneer or solid timber facing, providing greater dimensional stability while retaining the appearance and feel of solid wood.
