FAQ.
Will replacement timber windows and doors add value to my home?
Timber window and door replacements that combine character and performance (i.e. draught proofing, energy rating) will add value to your home, and will last decades. Our guarantee for timber products against rot is 25 years for softwood and 35 years for hardwood. This means that it is unlikely you will ever need to replace your windows and doors, and will offer a touch of class to your home for a long time. This is compared to uPVC products that are cheaper in the short term, but can cost more in the long term when they need to be replaced. According to the Daily Telegraph, buyers tend to find uPVC windows undesirable and can reduce the value of the property by several thousands of pounds (Cleaver, 2011).
Who will install my windows?
Our products are installed by our own installation team, who share a wealth of over 30 years experience.
Are timber windows good for the environment?
According to Greenpeace "As long as timber is sourced from properly managed forests, timber windows are by far the best environmental choice" (Greenpeace Briefing: Installing New Windows 1997).
