Guarantees

Hardwood 35 years, Softwood 25 years: All external joinery items, factory finished by HINSON, will be free of rot and fungal infection under normal conditions and where maintenance has been carried out to a satisfactory standard.

Sealed units 5 years: Factory fitted sealed cavity units are installed with every effort made to ensure the use of good quality materials that are fit for purpose. Where goods of this type are used under normal conditions and where maintenance has been carried out to a satisfactory standard.

Hardware 10 years: Under normal conditions and from the time of delivery all hardware factory fitted warrants a 10 year guarantee. When items are used under normal conditions and maintained with care to a satisfactory standard. Black and pewter hardware are subject to manufactures guarantees due to the items being hand made to order.

Workmanship 10 years: HINSON Warrants that factory finished goods when used under normal conditions, will be free from defects as a result of the manufacturing process from the date of delivery. Timber shrinking and shakes are not considered under workmanship.

Paint 8 years: All factory finished external items shall hold an 8 years guarantee for paint, under normal use and moderate weather conditions also where general care has been considered.

Stain 5 years: All factory finished external items shall hold an 5 years guarantee for stain, under normal use and moderate weather conditions also where general care has been considered.

-Please note that translucent colours are subject to shade changes depending on the timber used.

-All processes are in place to minimise the effect of tannins and knot sap leaking through the finishes with timber being a natural product this may still occur in localised areas.

-Guarantee are issued to delivery only items when the installer of the items have fenestration credentials from CERTASS or FENSA.

We are members of CERTASS for all double glazed units fitted to our windows and doors. This makes things easier for you to acquire a building certificate when installed by our team, as you would otherwise have to pay the council to obtain one.

We are also members of QANW for insurance backed guarantees, for all items using double

glazed units when installed by our installation team.
