Sustainability..

We are aware of the impact we have on the environment and would like to assure our customers that the role we play is sustainable. Wood products have less of an impact on the environment than plastic alternatives. The International Institute for Environment and Development and Edinburgh for Carbon Management has quoted:

"Timber is the most sustainable building product available. It is naturally renewable, over 97% of softwood timber used in the UK comes from Europe, where the forest area is increasing by the equivalent of three football pitches every hour of the day and night"

All timber used by HINSON has come from a replenished source. All our timber has been purchased from companies holding the following memberships:

(FSC) Forest Stewardship Council.

(PEFC) Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification.

(CPET) Central Point of Expertise on Timber.
