We recently had a visit from homeowners who live locally and were looking to upgrade their front door. Their beautiful barn conversion home originally featured a cottage-style wooden front door, which they wanted to refresh, so it was more in keeping with the look and feel of their property. As our customers were unsure of the look and feel they were going for, they paid a visit to our showroom, along with photos and measurements, so we could discuss the perfect options and show them some examples of different style doors. Their original door had a small window in the front, and it was essential to incorporate this feature into the new front door. After visiting our showroom, the homeowners requested a quote to replace their double doors and sidelights.

At Hinson Custom Made, we aim to offer a completely bespoke service and will assist with requests wherever possible. Hinson Custom Made owner Chris organised a visit for our clients to our local glass supplier so they could view samples in person. Our homeowners were unsure of the glass they wanted for their double doors and requested samples so they could make an informed decision.

With the design being signed off, our team got to work on creating the front door and double doors in our onsite factory workshop. Once the glass and door frame styles had been chosen, it was time to consider the designs' smaller but no less important aspects, including letter plate location, paint colour and ironmongery choices. We stayed in touch with our clients throughout this process to ensure they were happy with how their project was coming along and any questions were answered along the way.

Our team installed the new doors, and the result has transformed the exterior of our client's home. The front door has a new lease of life, with a larger window and smart, matching ironmongery. The new double doors offer more privacy than their predecessors and, thanks to their simple but elegant glass, don't detract from the outside of the home.
