Our homeowner customers Nicky and Richy contacted Hinson Custom Made as they were looking to replace their outdated front door and windows and give their home exterior a new lease of life. Their home is part of Bletchley Park Properties so bringing their exterior back to its English Heritage roots was important from the outset. Choosing a bespoke front door meant they could also incorporate both traditional and contemporary stained glass into the frame, which they love.

Nicky and Richy had the perfect design in mind for their front door, and they emailed the design, and some images across to the Hinson Custom Made team - including their request for a stained glass option. Hinson Custom Made works with various companies who specialise in individual requests for clients, and we put them in touch with a company we thought would be able to help with their request. Together, the client and stained glass company discussed their glass design and chosen pattern, which we later fitted to their custom made front door.

Once Nicky and Richy had chosen their stained glass, they booked a visit to our showroom so we could take a look at some of their options and ensure that whichever design and colour they picked matched their glass perfectly. With a range of front doors in the showroom, one such door design had been painted to match the 'Farrow and Ball, French Grey'. This colour was the perfect match for the stained glass design, and Nicky and Richy were happy with their choice.

Choosing the colour of your custom made front door can be both a fun and overwhelming part of the design. With so many colours to choose from, getting the colour matched with the design and the overall look of the home is challenging, but our team was on hand to advise and guide our clients wherever possible. For this reason, amongst others, we invite our clients into the showroom so they can take time to choose the perfect colour and door design and be happy with their final product.

Once the design had been signed off, our team got to work constructing the door and adding the beautiful stained glass created by the company we had put Nicky and Richy in touch with. With the door completed, it was time to get to work installing the perfect door at our client's home. All our custom made front doors and windows are created in our workshop below the showroom.

Our team manufacture and install our custom made products so we can ensure attention to detail and quality control are maintained at every level. Now the house exterior is transformed with a beautiful door painted to match Farrow and Ball French Grey and our casement and sliding sash windows painted in brilliant white to replace the previous plastic frames.
